Elastic vs. Fiber Gel - new generations of base gels!

Base gels - a new era

The special gel polish bases have been around for a long time, and it is perhaps not an overstatement to say that we love them. They have opened up a whole new dimension in the world of nail polish by being strong and flexible at the same time so that we can use them thinly or thickly, even to create a C-arc or a nail attachment. However, with the debut of different types of base gels, the question rightly arises: which one is right for what, and when to choose which one?

Elastic Gels - Brushed version of building gels

The base gels in the Elastic family have a medium-dense texture, which means they can be easily dripped off the brush, so can be applied to the surface with gentle movements, and a smooth surface can be created in a matter of seconds when forming the C-arc. For this reason, however, in the case of larger amounts of material, for maintaining the desired curvature, it is advisable to distribute the material with faster movements to prevent it from spreading too far to the sides.

Elastic materials are solid yet flexible after bonding, which is noticeable. Even the reinforced, C-curved nail bends slightly, giving its wearer a maximum natural feel. Elastic gels are available with a brush as standard, as they are used for the lacquer gel technique, such as our best-selling product, Gel - Elastic Hard Gel with brush.

Elastic Refill Gel - Transparent Nail Builder Gel

Elastic Refill Gel - Clear Nail Builder Gel has also been released, which is different in its packaging, as it comes in a jar and has a new texture compared to the brush version. It is highly liquid in the jar, but it is a little gelatinous in use, which we will feel best when we want to create an arc C: it retains its shape perfectly and creates a beautiful smooth surface. Because of this, you can work with it extremely quickly, accurately, and efficiently. It comes in a jar, so it can be distributed well with a gel-building brush. After bonding, it is as strong and flexible as the brushed versions.

When to choose the Elastic product family?

The Elastic range is ideal for strong nails if used in a thin layer and for thin nails with reinforced C arc.

Fiber gels - with the power of fiberglass

Fiber gels are very similar to Elastic materials; the difference is the fiberglass pieces they contain. Fiberglass also increases the flexibility and strength of the material. The glass fibers are visible during material application but become invisible and make up this extremely stable structure later.
This increased strength is also noticeable in prepared nails: nails made of fiberglass materials are less flexible, they are more like gel-made nails, so we recommend Fiber Gel Vitamin - Base Gel with Glass Fibers for exceptionally soft, flexible nails.

Fiberglasses hold the material slightly together, making it denser than Elastic gels. Fiberglass is responsible for strength and adhesion: in the case of a more problematic nail prone to aeration, stronger adhesion can provide a solution to annoying detachment.

Fiber Refill Gel - White

This is the specially developed version of Fiber Vitamine gel. Thanks to its packaging, the material is very easy to refill; we can quickly and easily apply and distribute it with a nail builder gel brush. In terms of material properties, it is a little softer, easier, and faster to apply than the brushed version.

When to choose?

Fiberglass gels are recommended for weak, soft, stressed nails that may not hold elastic gels well.

Color base gels - for lightning-fast salon work

Both product families already have clear versions that can be applied perfectly under any color; they do not change the colors at all; they are ideal when they are covered with a well-covering color. The different shades of nude color variants are a huge help for lovers of nude colors, as we can create the reinforcement in a single step and create the color itself, hence allowing for high-speed work. This is incredibly grateful when making a french or babyboomer nail, where applying two coats of nude color would add a significant amount of time and thickness - this is evitable when using colored base gels. Both the nude and milky white color variations are perfect bases for colors that cover slightly unevenly. The milky white base gel, in addition to being excellent for making beautiful milky white latte nails, highlights the vibration of the neon colors when used as a base.
