HEMA-Free product line

We often hear nowadays that certain artificial nail materials, gel polishes are HEMA-free, but what does this exactly mean? HEMA is an abbreviation for hydroxyethyl methacrylate, which causes allergic symptoms in a significant number of cases, ranging from mild itching to slightly red skin to more serious symptoms like burning pain and wounds.

Furthermore, HEMA-FREE product line consists of DI-HEMA or trimethylhexyl dicarbamate, TPO, and other 19 toxin-free substances, which further reduce the risk of allergic reactions on the skin.

Why is it important to minimize allergic reactions? These reactions represent the body's response to some external stimulus and are generally considered as the final manifestations visible on the skin. However, they can cause problems in many other places, including internal organs, the cardiovascular system or even the immune system itself. Moreover, if allergic symptoms appear, there is a higher chance that these reactions will occur later on other substances with which there were previously no allergic symptoms. Therefore, it is essential to try to prevent this and minimize the likelihood of starting the chain of allergic reactions.

Complete Product Line from the Basics

The HEMA-free product line is helpful right from the first step:

  1. Perfect Prep: disinfectant, dehydrating, degreasing agent, the first step before applying primers and other materials.
  2. HEMA-FREE Primer: acid-free primer providing stronger adhesion, optimizing the pH of the nail plate, leaving a slightly sticky surface that base gel perfectly adheres to. It is acid-free, recommended for heavily used nails. No curing required.
  3. HEMA-FREE Base Gel: colorless, soluble, medium consistency gel polish base coat preventing yellowing of the nail plate and ensuring strong, secure adhesion for colored gel polishes. Requires at least 1 minute of curing.
  4. HEMA-FREE Colored Gel Polishes: two-coats, well-covering, medium consistency gel polishes that are well-pigmented, spread nicely and do not discolor. Shake or stir thoroughly before use. Requires at least 1 minute of curing for each layer.
  5. HEMA-FREE Top Gel: elastic, medium consistency gloss gel reducing wear, damage, and discoloration of gel polishes. Requires at least 1 minute of curing; the surface is sticky, which needs to be removed with gel cleaner.

The HEMA-FREE gel polish family works well together with other Perfect Nails materials, such as traditional gel polishes, LAQ X gel polishes. However, to ensure the minimization of allergic reactions, it is advisable to use the HEMA-free product line complexly and together. Try our March novelty, our HEMA FREE Peel Off Base 8ml product too!
